The mission of the Student Services Division is to establish and maintain an environment that fosters the intellectual and personal development of students.  The Student Services division provides a network of academic support services for all students that facilitate the institution’s progress to ensure access, excellence and success to those students who can benefit from instruction at the post secondary level.

COA Welcome Center

The College of Alameda’s Welcome Center is located on the first floor of the A Building and includes the following departments: (Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, Counseling, EOPS, and Student Services Administration)

During the summer semester, COA will be on a modified 4/10 work schedule for 8 weeks beginning, Monday, June 9, 2014 and continue through Friday, August 1, 2014.  During this period, no classes are scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and Peralta campuses and District offices will be closed as well.

 

Welcome Center Business hours:

(June 9-August 1)

Monday-Thursday

8:00 AM – 6:30 PM 

FRIDAY – CLOSED

 During this week, June 30 through July 3
 Welcome Center  Business hours will be:

 

  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday-Thursday)
  • Friday, Saturday & Sunday – CLOSED
College of Alameda will be CLOSED on the following:
  • July 4  -  Independence Day

June 18 Wednesday Last Day to Drop Regular Session Classes and Receive a Refund    Note: Short-term and open entry classes must be dropped within 10% of the first class meeting to receive a refund.
June 18 Wednesday Last Day to Add Summer Session Classes
June 26 Thursday Last day to file petitions for AA or AS degree/certificate
July 15 Tuesday Last day to Withdraw from Regular Session Classes and Receive a “W”.  All outstanding fees are due even if classes are dropped on this day.
July 15 Tuesday Attendance Verification Day – Instructors Verify Enrollment
July 24 Thursday Summer semester ends
