The mission of the Student Services Division is to establish and maintain an environment that fosters the intellectual and personal development of students.  The Student Services division provides a network of academic support services for all students that facilitate the institution’s progress to ensure access, excellence and success to those students who can benefit from instruction at the post secondary level.

COA Welcome Center

The College of Alameda’s Welcome Center is located on the first floor of the A Building and includes the following departments: (Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, Counseling, EOPS, and Student Services Administration)

During Spring Break , below is the COA Welcome Center business hours:

8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4/14-4/17, Mon-Thurs)

Friday – HOLIDAY (4/18 Cesar Chavez)

  • Sat., and Sun. – CLOSED
 College of Alameda will be CLOSED on the following dates during the spring semester 2014:
  • January  20  -  Martin L. King’s Day
  • February  14-17 -  President’s Day
  • April 18 - Cesar Chavez Day
  • May 16 – Malcolm X’s Day
  • May 26 – Memorial Day

January 21 Tuesday Day and Evening Instruction Begins
February 2 Sunday Last Day to Drop Regular Session Classes and Receive a Refund    Note: Short-term and open entry classes must be dropped within 3 days of the first class meeting to receive a refund.
February 2 Sunday Last Day to Add Regular Session Classes
March 21 Friday Last day to file petitions for AA or AS degree/certificate
May 3 Saturday Last day to Withdraw from Regular Session Classes and Receive a “W”.
May 3 Saturday Attendance Verification Day – Instructors Verify Enrollment
May 23 Friday Spring semester ends
