The mission of the Student Services Division is to establish and maintain an environment that fosters the intellectual and personal development of students.  The Student Services division provides a network of academic support services for all students that facilitate the institution’s progress to ensure access, excellence and success to those students who can benefit from instruction at the post secondary level.

The College of Alameda’s Welcome Center is located on the first floor of the A Building and includes the following departments: Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, Counseling, EOPS, and Student Services Administration.BldgAmap

Hours Spring 2015 :(January 2 – May 22, 2015)

Monday from 8:00 – 6:30 PM

Tuesday-Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

NOTE: Counseling may stop accepting students 1 hour before the Welcome Center closes.

College of Alameda will be CLOSED on the following:

  • January 19  –  Martin Luther King’s Day
  • February 13 –  Lincoln’s Birthday
  • February 16 – Washington’s Birthday
  • March 31 –  Cesar Chavez’ Day
  • May 15 – Malcolm X Birthday
  • May 25 – Memorial Day

Important Dates to Remember:

January 20 Tuesday Day and Evening Instruction Begins
February 1 Sunday Last Day to Drop Regular Session Classes and Receive a Refund    Note: Short-term and open entry classes must be dropped within 3 days of the first class meeting to receive a refund.
February 1 Sunday Last Day to Add Regular Session Classes
March 20 Friday Last day to file petitions for AA or AS degree/certificate
April 25 Saturday Last day to Withdraw from Regular Session Classes and Receive a “W”.  All outstanding fees are due even if classes are dropped on this day.
April 25 Saturday Attendance Verification Day – Instructors Verify Enrollment
May 22 Friday Spring semester ends
