Student Services

The mission of the Student Services Division is to establish and maintain an environment that fosters the intellectual and personal development of students.  The Student Services division provides a network of academic support services for all students that facilitate the institution’s progress to ensure access, excellence and success to those students who can benefit from instruction at the post secondary level.

COA Welcome Center

The College of Alameda’s Welcome Center is located on the first floor of the A Building and includes the following departments: (Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, Counseling, EOPS, and Student Services Administration)

COA Welcome Center Hours – Spring Intersession 2013 (May 28 – June 14, 2013):

• Mon. - 8:00AM – 6:30 PM
• Tue., Wed., Thurs. & Fri. – 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
•  Saturday & Sunday – CLOSED

COA Welcome Center Hours – Summer Session 2013 (June 17 – July 25, 2013)

• Mon., Tues., Wed., & Thurs., - 8:00AM -4:30 PM
•  Fri., Sat., and Sun. – CLOSED

 College of Alameda will be CLOSED on the following dates during the Summer session 2013:

• July 4, 2013  – Independence Day

June 19	Wednesday	Last Day to Drop Summer Session Classes and Receive a Refund
June 23*	Sunday	Last Day to Add Summer Session Classes
June 28	Friday	Last day to file petitions for AA or AS degree/certificate
July 16*	Tuesday	Last day to Withdraw from Summer Session Classes and Receive a “W”.  All outstanding fees are due even if classes are dropped on this day.
July 16	Tuesday	Attendance Verification Day – Instructors Verify Enrollment in Classes
July 25	Thursday	Summer Session Ends
