The mission of the Student Services Division is to establish and maintain an environment that fosters the intellectual and personal development of students.  The Student Services division provides a network of academic support services for all students that facilitate the institution’s progress to ensure access, excellence and success to those students who can benefit from instruction at the post secondary level.

The College of Alameda’s Welcome Center is located on the first floor of the A Building and includes the following departments: Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, Counseling, EOPS, and Student Services Administration.BldgAmap

Business Hours

August 17 – 21, 2015

 Monday (8/17)  from 8-6:30 PM; Tuesday – Friday (8/18, 8/19, 8/20 & 8/21) from 8a-4:30p

For Extended Hours, Welcome Center  will be open for three (3) consecutive Tuesdays: 8/18; 8/25 and 9/1 until 6: 30 PM AND one (1) Saturday, 8/29 from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM (Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, Welcome Center and Counseling)


Monday from 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Tuesday – Friday from 8:00-4:30 PM

NOTE: Counseling may stop accepting students 1 hour before the Welcome Center closes.

College of Alameda will be CLOSED on the following:

  • September 7- Labor Day Holiday Observance
  • November 11 – Veteran’s Day Holiday Observance
  • November 26-29 – Thanksgiving – Holiday Observance

Sept. 6 Sunday Last Day to Drop Regular Session Classes and Receive A Refund Note: Short-term and open-entry classes must be dropped within 10% of the first class meeting to receive a refund. 
Sept. 6 Sunday Last Day to Add Regular Session Classes
October 23 Friday Last Day to File Petitions for AA/AS Degree/Certificate
November 14 Saturday Last day to Withdraw from Regular Session Classes and Receive a “W”.  All outstanding fees are due even if classes are dropped on this day.
November 14 Saturday Attendance Verification Day – Instructors Verify Enrollment
December 18 Friday Fall Semester Ends
