  • CLICK ON FORMS: Download, print and complete recruiting questionnaire and return to Coach Bishop.
  • If you are interested in playing an intercollegiate sport at the College of Alameda and you do not live in our local recruiting area (Alameda County), you will need to print out and complete a Form C (Out of District Recruitment Area).
  • Complete your enrollment On-Line at http://alameda.peralta.edu
  • Fill out any Federal or State Financial Aid Forms at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov . You can find out more information by calling COA Financial Aid Services at (510) 748-2184.
  • Take the Assessment Test for English and Math. An application for admission must be filed with the admissions and records office prior to taking the assessment test. Contact the testing center (510) 748-2307, 748-2315 to make arrangements. Note: There are some exemptions, please contact the testing office for qualifications.
  • Meet with an Academic Counselor:  Call (510) 748-2381.
  • Register for classes  There are certain weeks throughout the year to register. The course catalog provides the necessary information. Call Admissions (510) 748-2228, 748-2225, 748-2227.

College of Alameda abides by the provisions of the California Community Colleges Athletic Code as well as the specifications imposed by the Bay Valley Conference (BVC). The nature of these requirements is very exacting. Athletes are advised to become thoroughly familiar with the requirements to avoid loss of eligibility. A copy of the CCC Athletic Code is on file in the office of the Athletic Director.

To be eligible for intercollegiate competition, a student must be enrolled in, and passing, 17.5 units and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5. If the student has competed in the college sport, the student must pass a total of 24 units prior to the next season with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5. If you played basketball at another Peralta College, you must complete 12 units on this campus prior to being eligible to compete.

OFF SEASON (SUMMER):

-ENROLLED INTO BASKETBALL AND WEIGHT LIFTING COURSES DURING THE SUMMER SESSION.

 -SUMMER NON-TRADITIONAL TOURNAMENTS (must be enrolled in the above courses)

FALL & SPRING SEMESTERS:

-PRACTICE MONDAY THRU FRIDAY FROM 3:00PM-5:00PM. PRE-SEASON TOURNAMENTS ARE PLAYED ON WEEKENDS AND CONFERENCE GAMES PLAYED ON MONDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAYS NIGHTS.
