Since 1994, Linda Thompson has been an Peralta Colleges adjunct professor in the Physical Education and Kinesiology Department where she teaches introduction to kinesiology, volleyball, softball, cross-fit, weight training, aerobic conditioning, and study skills courses.
Currently, Thompson is the head women’s volleyball coach at the College of Alameda where she has coached the women’s volleyball team since 2004. Prior to transferring to the College of Alameda, Thompson served as the head women’s fast pitch softball coach and head women’s volleyball coach at Laney College from 1994-2008
Thompson is currently working on a Ph.D. in Philosophy with a minor in Sports Management. She earned a Master’s degree in Health, Physical Education & Recreation from Saint Mary’s College of California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation from California State University at Hayward.
