Jane McKenna is a tenured librarian at College of Alameda Library. In addition to her position as Access Services Librarian, Jane also teaches an online course, Introduction to Information Resources (LIS85), through the Library Information Studies Department. She also serves as Head Librarian.
LIS85 is 2 units, CSU and UC transferable, and taught completely online at College of Alameda. It covers an introduction to the basic concepts and tools used in information research. The course meets the Information Competency Requirement at SFSU and CSU East Bay. Recommended Preparation: ENGL 201A or appropriate placement and basic computer skills.
