Grammar Gremlins Workshop

Category: Workshops
L235
Tuesday, November 10, 2009 to Tuesday, November 10, 2009
1:00 PM-2:00 PM

with Teya Schaffer

Tuesdays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

In L235, Library Bldg., Second Floor

Beginning November 10, 2009

Contrary to popular perception, grammar is not about learning to use prim and proper English.  It’s about gaining an understanding of the logic underlying the language.  We hope you will do your students and yourself a favor:  Help them to make sense in both speaking and writing.

This is an informal drop-in grammar workshop for all students who need help with grammar problems.  Teya will focus on any and all problems the students bring.

Some suggested uses:

  Extra Credit Opportunity

Make-up Assignment for Missed Tests or Homework

  Make-up Work for Excessive Absences

  Help with Specific Writing Assignments

We can give the student a slip signed by the instructor to certify attendance at a session, and/or keep a record of all your students and send it to you at the end of the semester.  Please have your students enroll in LRNRE 501 (Supervised Tutoring), Class Code 43994 (no fees involved).
