The Sustainable Peralta Initiative is an effort to transform completely our community college district into a model environmental education center that could then function as a regional training center for environmental sustainability.

We have a vision for an educational experience rooted in a "Green Curriculum" which is one wherein: Education incorporates principles of sustainability enabling people to become effective engaged global citizens by empowering them with the knowledge, values & skills to create a future that is socially just and economically viable while being ecologically sound and promoting a healthy quality of life and psychological well-being.
