Welcome to DSPS

Dear Students:

Welcome to the College of Alameda DSPS Program.

DSPS provides assistance to students whose goals include:

  • transfer to 4-year college
  • Associate Degree
  • Certificate of Completion
  • basic skills improvement
  • independent living skills
  • employment
  • personal growth

DSPS offers academic advising, counseling, diagnostic testing, access to assistive technology, and other academic accommodations but you must request these services.  It is important to meet with your DSPS counselor each semester to review your progress and to arrange for classroom accommodations.   For more information, we encourage you to read the DSPS Student Handbook.

You should also purchase a copy of the College of Alameda Catalog and Class Schedule to learn about college policies, courses, programs, degree requirements, and other general information.

For information and enrollment assistance, please call for an appointment with a DSPS counselor or stop in to our office in D-117. We look forward to working with you!
